A message by Declan Byrne, Head of Scholarships Team/Chevening Alumni Engagement Manager at Foreign and Commonwealth Office Applications for 2014/15 Chevening Scholarships are now open! We ask our alumni to encourage those you believe have the potential to be a future leader to apply. Chevening this year will support more than 600 individuals from 118 countries worldwide. As you know, they offer the opportunity to study for a one-year Master’s degree at any of the UK’s leading universities, and are awarded to outstanding established or emerging leaders across a wide range of fields: including politics, government, business, the media, the environment, civil society, religion, and academia. Applications for Chevening Scholarships must be submitted online at chevening.org. Applicants should read the new Guidance for Applicants at chevening.org/apply before applying. This contains full details of eligibility and selection criteria, information about the Chevening English language requirement and course selection, and step by step instructions on how to submit an application. Details of closing dates and priority subject areas (which vary from country to country) are available on the country pages of the Chevening website.
