Apply for a Transnet Engineering Apprenticeship Location :Germiston&Sentrarand School of Engineering Mission “Changing lives through learning and development” The School of Engineering has well-established and reputable training institutions located nationally within Transnet Engineering’s various centres and depots. The School offers apprenticeship programmes that span a period of 18-36 months, divided into 3 phases. The programmes are open to successful Grade 12 learners as stated below under minimum requirements. On completion of the respective trade curricula, the students are offered the opportunity to undergo a trade test. As part of our human capital development strategy, we are offering comprehensive bursaries to students who are South African citizens who are considered to be youths under the age of 35 to be trained for the market/country for three years, in order to qualify as Artisans. Trades offered Wagon Fitter, Millwright, Electrical Fitter,Diesel Electrical Fitter,Welder and Electrician. N.B: Please also indicate your Race, Gender, and Disability for employment equity purposes & forward certified copies of your ID,certificates and statement of results. Failure to submit the statement of results will result on your application not being successful. Please also note that handdelivered applications will not be accepted. Position outputs: • Theory, practical training and on-the-job training • Summative and formative assessments. Minimum requirements: A Grade 12 with Maths and Physical Science/Grade 12 Technical Matric with Maths and any trade theory/N3 to N5/NV Certificate L3.
