Applying for college financial aid can be overwhelming so United Way of Long Island has launched a new program, CollegePath to help you learn what’s out there, what you need and how to apply for financial aid. CollegePath is offered to low to moderate income college bound students in Nassau and Suffolk Counties. The program seeks to increase the number of students who complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid. The program partners with the Citibank Foundation, the Health and Welfare Council of Long Island, local school districts and local businesses to create awareness of the need to complete the FAFSA in order to qualify for financial aid (grants, loans, and work-study). Volunteers are available to assist you with completion of the FAFSA application. Every student that completes the FAFSA application will receive a copy of the book – US News & World Report Best Colleges and will be entered into a drawing for a $500.00 college scholarship. Please contact us at (631)940-3703 or at [email protected] to make an appointment or for further information.
