April 11, 2014 LONDON, UK — No two drug classes that act separately on the renin-angiotensin system (RAS) should be used in combination, the European Medicines Agency (EMA) warned today[1]. In particular, patients with diabetic nephropathy should not be given an ARB with an ACE inhibitor, the agency concluded.
