April 6: Bargain. So, they say a picture is worth a thousand - TopicsExpress

April 6: Bargain. So, they say a picture is worth a thousand words, so here is the story behind this one. Last year, my mother in law was in her final days with her battle with cancer. Mom LOVED going to thrift stores, LOVED it. However, we all knew shed never be able to go anywhere again except for a miracle. We decided to make that miracle happen. We had several people donate items toward our own special thrift store for Mom. We set up our dining room as the store, and a sign in the hallway greeted Mom as my sister wheeled her in from her room. We even had everything priced and gave her Monopoly money to pay with! This was SO fun for her. We did this for her enjoyment, but to me, it is something I will always CHERISH that you cannot put a price on ... and thats the memory of making one of Moms last painful, sad days on this earth a little bit happier. She passed away less than a month later.
