Arakan province government chef resigns The head of Arakan province government has resigned yesterday understandable because of pressure of the Union government. The government source in Sittwe reveals that has tendered his resignation from his post. Meanwhile, the Burmese President U Thein Sein has announced the resignation of U Hla Maung Tin through the government run newspaper from Yangon today. However, the reason behind his resignation is yet to be declared. U Hla Maung Tin was elected as a representative from Ann township constituency of Arakan in 2010 national election. Many Arakanese in the province strongly believe that the Arakan State Prime Minister was forced to resign by the Union government because of his poor administration.
