Architect Engineer (Ref: 14158) - SCALLA Contracting LLC: Main Duties and Responsibilities: 1. Establish general architectural requirements with client and establish the specifications 2. Conducting preliminary study of the site (including contours, soil, ecology, buildings, roads); compile and analyze data on site conditions as geographic location; soil, vegetation, and rock features; drainage; and location of structures for development of architectural plans 3. Prepare architectural plans, working drawings, specifications etc. for the concerned structures according to client requirements / specifications and the approved budget and deadlines; specify the nature and quality of materials required to construct the required structure 4. Use Computer Aided Design (CAD) software to prepare architectural plans and present visual simulations to help clients envision the proposed ideas and plans 5. Inspect construction work in progress to ensure compliance with architectural specifications and to advise client and project team members on architectural features. 6. Update all drawings / plans on a frequent basis to reflect the as-built structure including any extensions / alterations made to the original plan; prepare architectural submittals for clients 7. Seek and take into account the views of local residents, potential users, and parties with a vested interest in the project; ensure proper restoration and conservation of old structures 8. Accurately prepare and present detailed architectural plans and working drawings, including applications, construction details and specifications for the project; maintain proper record 9. Present architectural design to the client and deal with enquiries and negotiating any amendments to final design. 10. Perform any other duties as are within the scope, spirit and purpose of the job, the title of the post and its grading as assigned by the superior(s).
