Are we alone in the Universe? Maybe we are... or maybe its just that intelligent life forms never make it far past gaining the ability to destroy themselves. Perhaps intelligence does not, in the end, prove to be a successful trait. Perhaps what were seeing here on earth is a tragic pattern repeated over and over on trillions of planets circling billions of stars... I realize is this is a very pessimistic view. Dont get me wrong. Im still very enthusiastic about efforts to care for our environment. Get rid of coal, and plastic grocery bags, Im with you, but its kind of like when your 80 year old grandpa quits smoking. Good job, Gramps. We might get an extra couple of weeks with ya.
