Are we sure we are building our party for the future? Lets note - TopicsExpress

Are we sure we are building our party for the future? Lets note that we were in opposition before, the harassment, the witch hunting, the direct attacks are still fresh in our memory unless of course those are the top have healed their wounds already haven left ours to bleed incessantly. I just think we r not serious as a party, y? We sit aloof blaming the opposition for virtually everything. Blame them for sabotage, blame dem for scheming to make us unpopular, blame them for buying off the media to do their bidding, of course blame them for taking over and managing the business environment. Imagine the prez of Ghana, visits the Queen of England on behalf of the people of Ghana, and the following day, the state own newspapers, failed to capture that as their banner headlines but were quick to capture the story of the opposition party going to chose their running mate who was known already. How many of our bigwigs are venturing into establishing media outlets so that we can use as our medium of counter? All we know is to send our investments outside of the country just cus of greed or not wanting our party members to feel we have and cud help for that matter. We are only lucky that Nana Addos has his personality drained down into the gutters, but trust me, dis guys are assiduously working to lift that back. We are here fighting our ourselves while leaving our major opponents have a field day. Hard facts; NPP controls the media. NPP controls almost 70-80% of all financial institutions in this country. Talk about susu collectors, micro financial institutions, back markets, forex bureaus, major banks, name them. NPP controls almost 70-80% of all the leadership of labour unions, talk about TUC itself,POTAG, UTAG, GBA, GMA, NAGRAT, even student leaders. NPP still controls about 70-80% of oil distribution companies and fuel stations. NPP controls almost all our bigger markets, talk about makola which is the mother of all markets, as for Kumasi the least talk, the better. NPP owns most of the private hospitals, most of the private schools. Of late they establish churches just to speak their language using the pulpit. Even the human resource development, NPP are more into this business than we do. Are we behaving like the new dawn political saints or we are not ready to strengthen our party for future elections? Trust me, we are the luckiest party ever in the history of this country. A party that has ever got the chance to rule in such a long stable democracy. A party that has the chance to pool support from as much as 8 regions out of 10. A party that has over the period control almost all zongos but do not dev dem after elections. The question is, wat is our excuse not to cement our support base in order to leverage the chances of our upcoming vibrant youth? Seemingly though. Its time we remember that if we dont take advantage of the system, it will turn around to take advantage of us. How can we be praying all day, just so our opponents will keep fighting in order for us to keep gaining grounds? This is the cheapest way to political victory and power consolidation. Until we challenge ourselves, until we jump quickly out of our comfort zones, until we say no to greed and selfishness, until we see those following us like dogs as our colleague comrades, until we get people with the right spirit to lead and to ensure the continuous dev of our party, until we realise that the development of the party is key in our individual political development, until we shun this pull him down tactics, until we break the bonds of serving the lords while suffocating those at the peripherals, then we leave to suffer our actions and inactions. Party development goes beyond individual fame, it goes beyond vengeance. We have the opportunity to be the shining stars in the midst of these challenges, but if care is not taken, this opportunity will slip off. That is not to say we will lose 2016, i hv the belief that we will win. We just need to lubricate the system small, open up to our grassroots, let all of us know exactly wat is wrong, add a little style to our tactics, get the right persons at the right places and let our youth feel their sweat once again isnt going to dry in pain, some little but meaningful propaganda, then off to our second term. I have spoken my mind without any malice.without any adds from anybody. The content is strictly my coinage. I belief i hv the chance to speak my mind as a member of the party. ......#kuduswrites.....
