Are you 16-17 years old and unemployed? Have you got no more than one GCSE grade A-C? Do you want to learn new skills or improve your chances of getting a job? Would you like help to prepare for starting college? Careers South West is running a new project called Re-Engage Southwest which might be able to help you! HOW DOES IT WORK? You and your adviser will talk about your interests, strengths and things that you want so that you can identify a goal you want to achieve. Together you will write a plan of action which will be reviewed regularly to make sure you are getting closer to achieving your goal. YOU will: • attend weekly activities individually tailored to your needs and interests, depending on how quickly you are ready to move on to the next stage, • have regular contact with your adviser to review progress and get support with achieving your goals, • develop new skills and get more confidence to help you move on to either education, an apprenticeship or employment. CAREERS SOUTH WEST will: • offer you support and ongoing advice to aid your development, • provide you with a written action plan which will be agreed with you, • discuss and suggest activities which would be suitable and helpful for you, • offer £20 gift vouchers after you have completed stage 1 of the project.
