Are you 50 years old or older? Have you had a colonoscopy yet? If not, get one because, as my dr. says...colon cancer is 100% preventable. If you are high risk, like me (I have relatives whove had it or are now battling it and Ive had Ulerative Colitis for over 31 years) make sure you get it done! Its worth the one day of discomfort you will experience. Take my word for it...the prep is the worse part. Not so much the going...and going...and going (HINT: Use Preparation H the first time you go and everytime you go and you wont have the pain and fissures from going so much) as drinking all the fluids you have to drink to clean you out. It may not be pleasant but your life is worth so much more than that 1 day of being uncomfortable. I have one done every year. You dont HAVE to be put out for it. Ive had them done with a sedative and Ive had it done without. You can ask your Dr. which is better for you...but PLEASE...get this done. You are cherished.
