Are you a bowler who loses momentum right as the ball is off your hand? Feel like you arent getting enough speed and just at that moment of accelerating through the fingers you arent quite getting as much hand into the ball? Solution: Get in a stance that is balanced and not necessarily something that is too comfortable, as you start pushing the ball make sure your shoulder is quiet getting into the swing (in other words you dont have a robot arm just get the shoulder moving nice and easy with the ball) allow the ball to swing back to the peak of the swing and let gravity take care of the wrest. You want to be strong in the legs and not your upper body so make sure 70% of your power is coming from you lower body (feet, legs, waist, and abdominals) and 30% effort in the acceleration of the arm swing (eliminate gripping, forcing or any type of smooth muscle contraction to rush the ball down into the lane) again gravity will take care of how the ball comes down. The pivot step is going to be your main source of weight distribution from one leg into the ball and into your slide foot, you want to make sure you are creating a space between your legs as your getting into the slide and the foot should be rolled down and not dragged (if dragging occurs you arent getting all the weight off of your pivot step) and maintain spine tilt through out release with your head lined up with the knee and foot. Try it and see what happens.
