Are you a complete person? Are you filled up with joy? Are you satisfied in life? The truth of these answers can be found when your life is shattered by an unexpected event. You know, the kind of thing that happens out of no where. The one that leaves you standing with your mouth gapping open, in shock and hurt beyond words. The kind of event that you never in your wildest imagination dreamed would be happening to you. What happens to you in this event, this “fire” of life? How do you react – what do you say ………and when the dust settles, where is your heart? I have found that the only way to make it through this life living in TRUE joy, is by attaching my happiness to the only thing that remains steadfast and sure – it is my eternal stability. As life changes like the crashing waves of the ocean, God never moves, my eternity never changes……when I keep my eyes upwards to the heavens, fixed on what I cannot see….that is when I can truly walk through this life filled up with joy – when I can be satisfied with my life – when I am complete. “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, declares the Lord. “As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts. As the rain and the snow come down from heaven, and do not return to it without watering the earth and making it bud and flourish, so that it yields seed for the sower and bread for the eater, so is my word that goes out from my mouth; it will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it You will go out in JOY and be led forth in PEACE.” Isaiah 55:8-12 You see, when you are complete in God, you are not lacking anything. When you are complete in God you are filled up to the brink with joy no matter what is happening in your life. When you are complete in God, you are satisfied with a fullness you can’t get any other way except Jesus. Can you imagine how beautiful it would be to live as a complete godly person? An incomplete person is difficult, demanding and always in pursuit of that next thing that will surely fill them up. They always looking for that one thing that will satisfy them, that one thing that will make them more accepted by others…..that one thing……… Are you complete? Until tomorrow………………. sheridywalker
