Are you a friend of Christ? Better question... Does Christ consider you HIS friend? :) if you find yourself living disobedient to his commands... unrepentant... justifying your actions by only God can judge me or God is good with me I cannot say for sure but I would assume you are probably not a friend. You arent a friend of Christ via going to church, tithing, singing in the choir... you arent a friend because you know theological positions and can debate pre trib vs post trib or free will vs predestination... knowing Greek Hebrew Aramaic... memorizing versus... fasting and praying doesnt make you a friend... your grandpa, dad, or uncle being a pastor does not make you a friend... because you are a pastor does not make you a friend! A Friend of GOD is a person who is obedient to His commands... and truly walking in repentance... those are the people He calls friends:) and all His commands are summed up in this... Love one another (Love meaning to lead to the Father... not gooey emotion)... my advice is to choose to be a friend of Christ today. Best decision youll ever make:) John 15:12-17 NASB This is My commandment, that you love one another, just as I have loved you. Greater love has no one than this, that one lay down his life for his friends. You are My friends if you do what I command you. No longer do I call you slaves, for the slave does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all things that I have heard from My Father I have made known to you. You did not choose Me but I chose you, and appointed you that you would go and bear fruit, and that your fruit would remain, so that whatever you ask of the Father in My name He may give to you.
