Are you a graduate, former student or friend of Seymour’s Class of 1974? If so, the “Class of ’74 and Friends” have formed an exploratory committee to assess interest and begin making solid plans for the 40th anniversary celebration of one of Seymour’s finest (!) graduating classes. This event will be held at Colonial Tavern in Oxford on July 26, 2014 @ 6pm. The “Class of ’74 and Friends” are including, welcoming and encouraging any one from any other class or school who considers themselves a friend of the Class of ’74 to take advantage of this opportunity to renew old friendships, perhaps create new ones and most importantly, revisit the glory days. Though the “Class of ’74 and Friends did begin as a “page, it is now an open group for easier access and better communication. If you are already a member, as with a group, spread the news to your Facebook friends and invite them to join. We’d like to make sure any one who wishes to attend this event is not left out of the loop; so if you know some one who is not on Facebook, please be sure to share with them any “Class of’74 and Friends” information. In the near future, as final plans are made, an invitation will be issued to every member of this group, but in the meantime, please post whether or not you have an interest in attending Seymour High School’s “Class of ’74 and Friends” 40th Anniversary Celebration, your attendance will make this event truly a wonderful evening to remember!
