Are you a social media MONSTER? The good news: People who love you & care about you are rooting for you off of the Internet. They dont need to see your social media updates (what you bought, what you ate...) to know that you are doing well. They don’t check your twitter to see if you are happy or sad. If you are doing something purely to serve your emotional or egotistical needs, STOP! Everybody is on to you. Dont feed the people who dont like you. Time moves quickly, (Ask yourself) why are you busy being a mean person via social media & not working on something youd like to achieve? Actions speak louder than tweets. A closet full of anything won’t fill a deep void or cure mental illness. Selfies are “fun” not achievements and dont make you special. You can’t blame others for your lack of achievements for the rest of your life. Tick! Tock! 5 way to know social media has gotten the best of you. 1) Image Crafting. You want to affect the way people think of you. 2) Narcissism. Your thoughts, opinions, and life philosophies are the ONLY ones that matter. Your life is sooooo interesting in and of itself. Usually these thoughts are just bits & pieces taken from others and are based on pure jealous of those people. Think your own thoughts 3) Attention Craving. You want attention. You take it however you can get it. You get off on being the victim or fighting with people. 4) Jealousy Inducing. You want to make people jealous of your life. 5) Loneliness. You feel lonely and want people (even stingers) to make it better. Essentially you are spreading your sadness, and that’s a shitty thing to do! If you have the wherewithal to recognize that you are exhibiting any of these behaviors, all is not lost. Channel your crazy, your sadness, your loneliness, your need to be seen into creating something truly extraordinary. I’d love to see more art, music, & design... on ALL of my social media feeds. Nothing is more exciting & inspiring than being surrounded by people ready to face their fears and bravely share their work with the world. The more people who create, craft, write, and (if they are so lucky) globally share amazing work with others - the better. There is a true sense of pride in giving birth to anything creatively.
