The E-WOMEN NETWORK is a flagship scheme of the Office of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) National Woman leader Amb Dr. Mrs Kema Chikwe. The scheme is the first of its kind by the PDP because of its contemporary approach to dealing with the issue of limited female involvement in political governance. Ultimately, the scheme is designed to empower more Nigerian women to be actively involved in the Nigerian political system. This initiative is somewhat modelled after the gender equality programmes of the United Nations. It is expected that this initiative will create a Nigeria where women do not feel limited in any way as regards fulfilling their dreams and goals. In light of the use of social media frameworks in the facilitation of this initiative, it is expected that this initiative will continue to evolve with the changing demographic profile of women in Nigeria.
