Are you attending the BBC Radio 1 Big Weekend in Glasgow? If so, Police Scotland Supt Hazel Knight is here with some advice... The eyes of the music world will be on Glasgow this weekend as the Big Weekend comes to town – and Police Scotland is keen to make sure that everyone attending has a good and safe time. With some of the industry’s most popular bands and singers performing, more than 14,000 people will attend the opening music event at George Square in Glasgow city centre tonight, and another 50,000 people will then enjoy the Big Weekend events on Saturday and Sunday (24-25 May) at Glasgow Green. Police Scotland officers will be operating in and around both the George Square and Glasgow Green venues throughout the weekend and will be available to help you with any queries so please do take the opportunity to speak with them.
