Are you free on 4 June to join us for the 2014 Gordon Craig Lecture, in association with the Society for Theatre Research? The lecture will be given by international multimedia artist and stage designer Jeremy Herbert. His last stage design was for Handels Rodelinda for the English National Opera at the London Coliseum, a production which received rave reviews. He has worked with John Taverner, Michael Nyman, Artangel and Madonna. Recent designs include: Hamlet, The Glass Menagerie and Blackta (Young Vic); Death In Venice (Hamburg, Vienna); La Traviata (Weiner Festwochen); Parlour Song (Almeida); and Paradise (installation for Ruhr Triennale). His long relationship with the Royal Court Theatre included first productions of Sarah Kanes Cleansed and 4.48 Psychosis (which won Barclays Award for Best Design). Jeremys installation Safe House is at the Young Vic until 19 May.
