Are you interested in playing for a Counties Maori team? Te Manukanuka o Hoturoa Poitarawhiti Netball Festival: TMHP will be hosting the inaugural bi-annual Netball Festival. The festival is intended to be a netball tournament incorporating performing arts, food & health extravaganza! TOURNAMENT TEAMS: TMHP intends entering 7 teams into the 2013 TMHP Netball tournament as follows: Masters Grade Mens Open Grade Mixed Open Grade Senior Women Open Grade U17 Grade U15 Grade U13 Grade TRIALS: TMHP are holding 2 trials for the above grades. The trial details are as follows: Juniors: U13 and U15 grades: Trial No. 1 Sunday, 15th September 2013 Registrations commence: 8.30am Trials commence: 9.00am – 12.00pm Pukekohe Netball Centre, Bledisloe Park, Upper Queen St, Pukekohe Trial No. 2 Saturday, 21st September 2013 Registrations commence: 8.30am Trials commence: 9.00am – 12.00pm Papakura Netball Centre, 90 Walters Rd, Papakura Squads of 12 travelling players and 3 x reserve players will be announced at Trial 2. Seniors: U17, Senior Women, Mixed, Mens & Masters Grades: Trial No. 1 Sunday, 15th September 2013 Registrations commence: 12.30pm Trials commence: 1.00pm – 3.00pm Pukekohe Netball Centre, Bledisloe Park, Upper Queen St, Pukekohe Trial No. 2 Saturday, 21st September 2013 Registrations commence: 12.30pm Trials commence: 1.00pm – 3.00pm Papakura Netball Centre, 90 Walters Rd, Papakura Squads of 12 travelling players and 3 x reserve players will be announced at the last trial. DISPENSATION FROM TRIALS: Players must attend both trials. Players who are not able to attend a trial (due to a vital reason) must have requested dispensation in writing from the TMHP Executive by 12th September 2013. All players who have requested dispensation and received approval from the TMHP Executive will have their name and details forwarded to the appropriate Team Officials at the first trial. Player’s who have not requested dispensation and are absent for one or both trials, will not be eligible to trial or be selected for a team. PRE REGISTRATIONS: All trialists must complete the attached pre-registration form and forward to the TMHP Executive (see below contact details) by 12th September 2013. PLAYER ELIGIBILTY: Players & Team Officials must meet the following criteria to be eligible to trial or officiate for TMHP: Resides in Counties Manukau regional boundary, or Plays netball or officiates (Umpire, Coach, Team Manager) at a Netball Centre within the Counties Manukau regional boundary Must be under the age of the grade they wish to trial for as at 1st January of the year of the tournament ie; if you are trialling for U15 grade, you must be 14 years or under as at 1st January 2013 for the Pacific Challenge Cup Tournament 2013. If you turn 15 years after 1st January 2013, you are eligible to trial for U15 Grade.. Must be of Maori descent. TOURNAMENT INFORMATION: · TMHP Netball Festival: Date: Saturday, 2nd November 2013 Time: 9.00am – 6.00pm Venue: Papakura Netball Centre TMHP WANANGA · Date: Saturday, 28th September Time: 10.00am – 4.00pm Venue: Papakura Netball Centre Attendance to Wananga is compulsory for all team officials and players. Players & Team Officials who are not able to attend the Wananga (due to a vital reason) must have requested dispensation in writing from the TMHP Executive by 12th September 2013. FEES & TRAINING · TMHP affiliation fee: $20 .00 per player Payment of TMHP affiliation fees is due at the Wananga on Saturday, 28th September. · Team Trainings: Will commence weekly as from 23rd September Dates, Times & Venues to be agreed by each team at Trial 2 on 21st September. If you cannot commit to all of the above trials and events, it is best you do not trial so that other possible trialists may have their chance at selection.
