The Department of Business and Consumer Affairs is offering FREE workshops that you might be interested in: Wednesday, 7/23/14, 3:00pm to 4:30pm “Securing Adequate Restaurant Financing” City Hall, 121 North LaSalle Street – Room 805 Finding enough financing for a new restaurant can be a major hurdle. This workshop will discuss how to estimate your start-up costs by looking at expenses like renovations, employee wages, marketing capital, and commercial kitchen equipment. Additional topics will include different sources of financing, such as personal resources, private investors and small business loans. You will also learn about the basic loan application process, including what details to add to your business plan and how to prepare for a bank review. Friday, 7/25/14, 9:30am to 11:00am “How to Write a Business Plan – Your Roadmap to Success” Want to launch or grow your business? Attend this seminar to receive insight, advice and guidance to prepare a business plan. You will save money and avoid countless mistakes by learning to plan from the ground up and write about your business. Wednesday, 7/30/14, 2:00pm to 3:00pm; 3:15pm to 4:30pm “How to Get Certified” and “Doing Business With the City of Chicago” Are you interested in doing business with or being a certified vendor with the City of Chicago?
