Are you planning to attend the debate? Here is a reminder of the arrangements: The debate is scheduled to be held in Parliament between 4.30pm and 7.30pm today. However, due to renovation work taking place in the Palace of Westminster, the debate has been relocated from Westminster Hall to COMMITTEE ROOM 10 ON THE MAIN COMMITTEE CORRIDOR. Clearly this is disappointing but it is, unfortunately, out of our hands. For those of you who are attending the reception in the Jubilee room beforehand, we will all walk over to the venue together. If you are arriving after 4:15pm, please head directly to the debate venue. Please note that the public gallery Committee Room 10 only seats around 28 people and as such it cannot be guaranteed that everyone who wants to will be able to get in to see the debate “live”. This is because it is a public/open debate and any members of the public will be allowed access by the Commons’ security staff – the pancreatic cancer charities cannot “ticket” the event. Should the gallery reach capacity, for those who cannot see the debate live we have arranged for COMMITTEE ROOM 7 ON THE MAIN COMMITTEE CORRIDOR to be made available as an “overspill room” which will have a TV feed showing the debate from the parliament website. Post-debate drink: For those of you who do not have to head straight off to catch your transport home, some tables have been booked in St Steven’s Tavern, a pub next to Westminster Tube Station, from 7.45pm. We hope you might be able to join us to share your stories and views and opinions about the debate.
