Are you ready to party? Our annual Membership Party this Saturday -- January 25 -- aligns with Robert Burns Day, an annual celebration of the famous 18th century Scottish poet. Burns was a pioneer of the Romantic movement, and his poetry and lyrics have had a broad influence. From 7:30 to 9:00 p.m., members of Beaucoup Chapeaux -- and local Robert Burns aficionados -- Maggie McKaig, Luke Wilson and Murray Campbell and friends will lead a Scottish ceilidh while incorporating some of Burns poetry and lyrics into their live performance. Following the ceilidh, the evening will round out with a dance party by D.J. Goat Cheese and D.J. Ramzolius (a.k.a. board members Edy Cassell and Ramsey Demeter, respectively).
