Are you still looking for a magic pill to cure your depression? Are you still waiting on a person in your life to do things in just a certain way that you will no longer feel depressed? Try giving thanks and worshiping the Lord. The Apostle Paul wrote his most joyous epistle while he was in prison and in chains. See, ancient prisons didnt have cable TV, a/c or mats to lay on. Nope, they were dungeons. I spoze Paul couldve been depressed if he had paid someone to tell him he had a chemical imbalance, but he didnt have that luxury. He chose to worship God and give Him thanks and the peace of Christ which surpasses all understanding lifted his spirit right out of his circumstance. God is not a respecter of persons. What worked for Paul, will work for us, even if we have that pesky chemical imbalance (though for some odd reason, they know this without ever doing any physiological test on patients who are diagnosed with them).
