Are you superstitious? I admit I am, a wee bit. So lately, everywhere I turn I see reference to the book, The Miniaturist. I went to Barnes & Noble yesterday to buy a 50% off calendar, and there was the book, close to the front. I picked it up and talked about it to my companions, then set it down. Further into the store, there it was again - in writing books. Someone had put it in the wrong place. And a few footsteps later, I saw it on a table in the middle of the store. By now, Im like, holy crap this book is following me and theres some huge reason I need to read it. So, I bought it. I will read it. And later Ill know why. Anybody read it? Thoughts? Do you do bizarre things like buy books because they follow you around?
