Are you utilizing multi-planar training? That is to say, are you training in the frontal, sagital, and transverse planes? Or are you sitting all day in the sagital plane, and at very best (so you think), bench pressing and squating for an hour in the sagital plane? Most folks nowadays are simply not well prepared for lifes surprises and challenges (slipping on ice, diving for a ball in softball, grappling/defending yourself). Im reminded of an incident with one of my best friends, and All-American wrestler, David Manoogian. We were jogging through the parking lot of BW3s one icy day, and he hit a patch of ice.
