Arguably the best review to date!! Enjoy!!! :) The 2013 BCPDL season continued today after a whopping 4 day long weekend that lead to most boys having withdrawals from the great game we call our own. With news that Gisborne Secondary College had started their own league, all the boys were fired up to prove that Braemar truly is the greatest Downball school in the Macedon Ranges. Then news came through that the Gisborne EDL (Extreme Downball League) kids use a tennis ball to play, rather than a high bounce ball, and from that point on they were never taken seriously again. So the fellas headed to the music room courts to continue proceedings at recess. Some players found it hard to adapt to the longer courts while others thrived in the environment. Angus Cant Eat Street dominated the minor break and held King for a good 95% of game time. Hes shocking at Supercoach and struggles when it comes to breakfast, lunch and dinner but if theres one thing that man can do, its play Downball. Nathan Give Me Back My Wet Floor Sign Bush was hardly recognisable, sporting a new trim that had women comforting him every time he went out (quite a frequent occurrence). The two divisions split off once again for lunch where we were praised with the appearance of Riley Yellow Balloon Paterson who couldnt make it to Recess Downball due to what hes calling biddies galore. Pato showed great skill during lunch but also faced controversy when referee, Dennis Cliffe ruled him in when he was clearly out. Nick Smiley Doolan wasnt happy with the call and is reportedly still abusing Dennis via MSN Webby. Matt Wilson once again showed brilliance and Tom Selby lackadaisically ran a muck on the courts. King was shared equally at the major break with every lad getting a run as top dog. Over in Div 2, Brodie Hoyne continued his dominance but has been reported as cheating his way to the top. Harry Sullivan described Brodie as a great player, but a manipulative player. He bends the rules to fit himself and barely walks. The Leagues Match Review Panel will analyse this closely and come to a decision on Brodies future within the next 48 hours. Daniel Notorious R.E.D Hallowells shots were straighter than his hair as he proved himself a Div 2er for the long haul. In trade talk, Nathan Bush is rumoured to be heading to Pegs Grammar School on a 9 year, 11 million dollar contract. Quite a strange deal from Pegs, seeing as Nathan only has 3 years of schooling left, but well wait and see how it pans out. Mitch DJ Synoss Synott is apparently planning to hang up the boots and say goodbye to his Div 1 career as he focuses on music with hopes of one day sharing the stage with the greats like DJ Doolz, Emcee Genetic Mistake and the legendary DJ Sowter! Thats all from me for tonight. Boys, please remember to bring a wide brimmed hat tomorrow as the League is looking to enforce a no hat, no play policy to lower the risk of heat stroke. This reporter knows all too well how it feels to be a victim of Braemars harsh sun, which burns most brightly on the great courts between 1:20 and 2:05. Thanks again to Conor Dimasi for another great review!! He has taken the reigns as head writer so expect more where this came from!
