Arh Cup of Coffee!!! Ste woke me up before he left for work to let me know he had cycled up to the farm and Turned Spooky out into the Winter Turnout Field. So all I needed to do was walk Alex down to main road, Come home, make a coffee and make sure the Dr Who thing on BBC news was recording for Alex. Got some Sewing to get on with today. Have a couple of Curtains to do and a couple of other things to finish doing. Gave Alex a favourite coat of mine as it really fits her well and looks good on her. Its a Long Grey Wool Coat from Bay. Nice High Collar. Id got out my winter coats to wash and have out for me to use and she loves to trying stuff of mine on so she can pinch the stuff she likes and that fits her. Since as she was wearing it to school this morning, she needed a Scarf to match. I have a huge scarf collection from Vintage Silks to Chunky Woollen ones. So she chose a nice simple knitted Grey in a shade darker than the coat. (She has style does my lass :) ) But ment I had a large amount of my collection out on the sofa. Wow I really have some amazing Vintage Scarves. I do love my Silks. Mainly find them at Jumble Sales and when I started my collection I did have plans to use them in Quilts/Projects. But as time has gone on and my collection has grown, I really couldnt do it. Not cutting up a silk scarf thats twice my age! It would be so wrong to do so. Id love to find out more about some of them, their age, where made etc as some have lost labels over the years. But I would love to loan my vintage items out for TV or something. Set dressing if you know what I mean. I do have a lot of Vintage Sewing items aswell as my Sewing Machine Collection.
