Arianism . . .not to be confused with Aryanism (about the Aryan - TopicsExpress

Arianism . . .not to be confused with Aryanism (about the Aryan race) did not begin with the Libyan presbyter and heretic Arius. However, he made it popular thus the name. Many religions have sprung up as a result of Arius in one form or another: Modalism, Oneness Pentecostalism, Christadelphians, Worldwide Church of God (which self admitted they were a cult almost bankrupting them), British Israelism, the Mormons, 7th day Adventists, Jehovahs Witnesses and Unitarians just to name a few . . . It was dealt with by the anti-Nicene fathers (Here is one example of many): Nearly about the same time Arius, armed with a viper’s craft, as if deserting the party of Meletius, fled for refuge to Peter, who at the request of the bishops raised him to the honours of the diaconate, being ignorant of his exceeding hypocrisy. For he was even as a snake suffused with deadly poison. Yet neither can the imposition of hands upon this false one be imputed as a crime to this holy man, as the simulated magic arts of Simon is not ascribed to Philip. Meanwhile, the detestable wickedness of the Meletians increased beyond measure; and the blessed Peter, fearing lest the plague of heresy should spread over the whole flock committed to his care, and knowing that there is no fellowship with light and darkness, and no concord betwixt Christ and Belial, by letter separated the Meletians from the communion of the Church. And because an evil disposition cannot long be concealed, upon that instant the wicked Arius, when he saw his aiders and abettors cast down from the dignity of the Church, gave way to sadness and lamentation. This did not escape the notice of this holy man. For when his hypocrisy was laid bare, immediately using the evangelical sword, “If thy right eye offend thee, pluck it out and cast it from thee,” and cutting off Arius from the body of the Church as a putrid limb, he expelled and banished him from the communion of the faithful. , – Ante-Nicene Fathers: The Writings of the Fathers Down To A.D. 325, (Edinburgh, England: T. & T. Clark, 1867), WORDsearch CROSS e-book, Under: The Genuine Acts of Peter.. The council of Nicaea was convened in part to deal with Arianism . . . Constantine ordered all of his writings burned (only 3 are known to have survived). . . In addition, if any writing composed by Arius should be found, it should be handed over to the flames, so that not only will the wickedness of his teaching be obliterated, but nothing will be left even to remind anyone of him. And I hereby make a public order, that if someone should be discovered to have hidden a writing composed by Arius, and not to have immediately brought it forward and destroyed it by fire, his penalty shall be death. As soon as he is discovered in this offense, he shall be submitted for capital punishment..... — Edict by Emperor Constantine against the Arians Unitarianism has its roots in Arianism and began in the 1700s in jolly old England . . . regardless of the spin and plethoras of theological debates over Trinitarianism , here is the simple view of Unitarianism that can NOT be spun: We reject that Jesus is God Mormons do this . . . Jehovahs Witnesses do this . . .Unitarians do this . . . I feel compelled to add, that just like them, Islam does this as well . . . The video in this post is a debate between the 2 sides of this argument. On the rejection side: Sir Anthony Buzzard (Unitarian theologian) and Joseph Good. On the confirmation side: Dr Michael Brown (Messianic Jew with PhD in Semitic languages) and Dr James White (Director Alpha & Omega Ministries and a professor of Greek and Hebrew) I have personally had conversations with Dr Brown on facebook. He liked my Tiger Woods post: evenifministries.wordpress/2012/06/13/tiger-woods-the-poster-child-for-christianity/ Indirectly, I have also had dealings with the Unitarian Messianic (kind of an oxymoron) Joseph Good . . . it strained and cost me some relationships because I refused to be part of anything he did . . . As King Solomon the Wise once said . . . Nothing new under the sun . . . This is just Arianism repackaged in order to slaughter the sheep . . .
