Arianna is raising funds with her Girl Scout Troop (#1322) so they can take a trip to South Dakota this summer. They have worked very hard this year on their community service projects and I am proud of her and the troops accomplishments. They choose to help with Toys for Tots this year and each girl had a box to manage - Arianna was able to place a box at Merle Hay Mall and Wright Service Corp and created her own campaign advertisement. She also spent time - with the help of Dad - sorting toys at the Salvation Army warehouse. The troop went caroling at the homes of Carlisle residents who could not get out during the holidays. They have also been learning first aid from the Carlisle Fire Dept. The girls have been looking forward to traveling and will plan most of their trip without assistance from troop leaders - the girls will learn about budgeting - goal setting - and making decisions as a team.
