Farmers plant seeds when the new lunar crescent appears (Monday evening Mar 31), seeds become fertile on every level; all new beginnings are favored now. What is dreamed and initiated in this Renaissance Spring Moon brings blessings in years to come. Crescent New Moon in Aries with revolutionary Uranus signals a great global awakening. Moon magic is strongest from Sunset to Moonset when the Moon is in the 7th House. Meditation now opens doorways, wishes take wing, prayers bring blessings for this lunar cycle and the year to come. This month’s Aries lunar cycle begins the new Aquarian Age, “when peace will guide the planets and love will steer the stars.” How can we know this is so? Our first clue is bright Morning Star Venus, a prerequisite for each new Renaissance. Another indicator is the Age of Aquarius planet Uranus in Aries, the sign of new beginnings. This only happens every 84 years. A new age begins every 2160 years during a 108 year transition period, this current time began in 1945. The renaissance shift always happens in a 36-year Sun period that, like the flight of the Phoenix, happens every 500 years. The current renaissance Sun period begun at Spring Equinox 1981 ise completed at Spring Equinox 2017. All new cycles begin in the Spring with the first lunar cycle of the new zodiacal year. The March 30 Aries New Moon begins the first lunar cycle of the new 2014-15 zodiacal year. The small lunar crescent on April 1 Eve marks the beginning of the Hindu New Year, the Jewish calendar year and start of the Cherokee Spring Festival. Seven days later at the 1st quarter Moon on April 7 begins the highlight of these celebrations: The Cherokee have their Spring New Fire Ceremony when the lighting of the sacred fire signals the beginning of a new creation. Likewise, the Hindu celebrate the birth of Ram, the fire god who begins a new cycle of time. Everything prospers in the rising tide of this Renaissance Spring Moon. All new beginnings are favored now as a new creation comes to flower. As old patterns break, energy is set free for new creation. It is time to rethink our world, feel what is needed and affirm the ideal we wish to make real. Thoughts seeded in this Springtide Moon shape the future world to be. Happy New Moon!
