Arizona Department of Transportation is also facing a shortfall of needed transportation improvement and maintenance dollars as it prepares the fiscal 2015-16 budget for the State Transportation Board. The funding requests wont be ready for public comment until March. There is no impact at this point when it comes to ADOTs federal funding, said ADOT spokesperson Laura Douglas. However, when it comes to TIGER grants and less funding allocated for these grants, it means a decreased opportunity for Arizona to be awarded funding, since this is something for which Arizona and the rest of the states compete.
