Army should own all killings they perpetrated: Salvation Movement AFSPA alicense to kill Kashmiris GK NEWS NETWORK Srinagar, Nov 8: Reacting to the Army statement on Chattergam bloodshed, the Jammu and Kashmir Salvation Movement ( JKSM) Saturday demanded that army should take the responsibility of all the killings that they perpetrated in Kashmir in the past 24 years. “ After taking the full responsibility of Chatergam killings, army should now take the responsibility of all the massacres and killings including custodial killings and fake encounters that they perpetrated in Kashmir during last 24 years and at the same time Indian government should investigate the killings through any independent investigating agency according to international laws,” said a spokesman of the JKSM in a statement today, criticizing the army general’s statement wherein he said that AFSPA has nothing to do with the Budgam innocent killings. “ AFSPA gives armed forces the license to kill Kashmiris and because of it they even don’t face prosecution,” said the spokesman, demanding revocation of the draconian law before the ‘ so- called’ assembly elections. Hailing the stand of martyred youth’s father who has refused to accept the army’s compensation, the spokesman said that army can’t buy the sacrifices of Kashmiris. “ Kashmiris are laying sacrifices for a cause and killers can’t buy us after killing our youth,” he added. Meanwhile, the spokesman condemned the continuous detention of party chairman Zaffer Akbar Bhat and other pro- freedom leaders and youth, demanding their unconditional release. He also hailed the statement Pakistan Foreign Ministry’s spokesman, Tasneem Aslam , that Pro- freedom leaders weren’t separatists but freedom fighters.
