Arnolds explanation stretches the imagination but if this is what they have to do to explain his appearance in terminator so be it: Schwarzenegger goes on to explain the films solution to having his robotic character looking three decades older than he did in the James Cameron original. The way that the character is written, its a machine underneath, he says. Its this metal skeleton. But above that is human flesh. And the Terminators flesh ages, just like any other human beings flesh. Maybe not as fast. But it definitely ages.
