Aroma of Heaven is an utterly engaging documentary film that poses the provocative question: how well do we know the coffee that we consume every day? Armed with nothing but innate curiosity and a small crew, the filmmakers journeyed through the world of Indonesian coffee. They met, in addition to traditional farmers, with a variety of thought leaders – remarkable men and women from the worlds of science, philosophy, academia, anthropology, business, and agriculture – to uncover the traditions, culture, arts, faith, and indigenous beliefs that have contributed to more than 300 years of Indonesias coffee history.
