Around 1982 at a place called locally as Frontline, Sandringham road, Dalston , East London , opposite a Westindian takeaway called Johnsons , there used to be a shubeen called PINNERS . The resident sound was BUT WAIT on a Saturday night, owned by Dennis , brother of Vivien ( Serge, Gemi-Magic ). A heavy sound at the time who played all selections . Nuff pre-release 7 s straight from yard, rub a dub style like this lovely track from an artist I used to try and imitate Nuff as a youth, the sweet voiced Mr Linval Thompson. This particular track I remember from PINNER club days. Learnt to peel off wall paper to this, lmao. Greatest memories of my youthman days. Enjoy family....
