Around 1994, I wrote WE ARE DONE as a song. It has a great tune but I kept tripping over the words when I sung it live. Here are those words. The crap that they throw at us when we are young, is still thrown in our later years. The programmed automatons stay here to taunt us, promoting the same stupid fears. The striped shirts, the grey suits, the bright cheesy faces are drooling as one tongue by tongue, management, government, freaks in high places, strut out in style with their corporate smile, we are done. They damn with faint praise then they dig us a hole which we drop into so readily. Clutching the papers they give us for wholesome behaviour, we fall steadily. Down the hole marked delinquent, the hole marked beyond it, the hole marked courageous… but dumb. These tiresome drones with their sacks full of buzzwords, rant of their quest to make themselves the best. We are done.
