Arrangements for my Dad Jimmie Holley is Saturday July 5 from 11-2 at Aikins Farmer Funeral Home in Metropolis. We would like to think everyone for your calls, visits, texts, food, prayers and your crazy and funny stories of Dad. Dads been going down hill bad this past year. Yesterday afternoon around 3:30 he passed out on us and we called for an ambulance which took him Baptist Health Hospital. His blood pressure was very low. They ran lots of test and everything came back abnormal. The doctors told us that his kidneys and liver was shutting down but we never dreamed he would go so fast. We never told him how bad he was. He talked and joked and told us what he needed to get done when he got back home. I remember kissing him on the cheek and telling him I loved him and he wanted the oxygen mask off so we took it off and his breathing just stopped. He was ready. I believe in my heart he went very peacefully. Please keep us in your prayers because I know the coming days are gonna be rough on us all.
