Arrived in Nong Khai yesterday (Saturday), the guest house where I booked in had no table or chair and no refrigerator so I will find another one. Yesterday was Walking Street Market day, it was great with lovely Issan music played over loud speakers. Today there is a Chines Festival which involved a fabulous parade. I have posted a lot of photos. The promenade along the riverside goes for about 3 kilometres and is beautiful, you can actually walk along it as there are no motorcycles allowed to park on the footpaths here. So far so good as the saying goes. Here are a few shots of the Sunset, floating restaurant and the walking street market.....
