Arrogance is when we only mourn over what we feel we do wrong, instead of over everything that is wrong. We are responsible for unintentional sins and need to ask God to reveal them to us, and repent from them as well. And if we are truly sorry for our sin, then we will show it in the manner of mourning over our wrong doings. When we sin we are causing God hurt, like a parent would feel when we are disobedient to them. Parents tell their kids to NOT do something because they care and not to be mean, they tell them that to protect them and it does hurt them when the child is disobedient. God feels the same way, He is our Heavenly Father. (Matthew 5:4) Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted.
