Arsenal 2-0 Sunderland FT: It was honestly not a very good performance from the Gunners but they fought hard and came away with the 3 points. The first real chance came when Danny Welbeck scratched the crossbar with a blistering shot from the edge of the box. Arsenal struck when Wes Brown made a dreadful slip and backpass that would have made Gerrard proud. Sanchez coolly slotted away in a one on one versus Vito Mannone. Arsenal controlled possession all throughout the second half but were not able to create any really opportunities. Its clear that we lack a cutting edge and Cazorla was not performing well. Cazorla wasted numerous chances to put the game away, shanking some very easy shots into the stratosphere. However, Vito Mannone failed to clear a ball in stoppage time and Alexis pounced on it making the score 2-0. Here are some takeaways from todays game: 1) Arteta is much, much better than Flamini. The captain kept a cool head throughout the game and distributed very well, something his French counterpart could barely do at all. The Arteta and Flamini combo does not work very well at all. Hopefully we wont be seeing much more of Flamini now that Arteta is fit. 2) Monreal player very well today, I was very impressed. HE made good runs in attack when he was moved to LB and he was also solid in defense. 3) Sanchez is simply amazing. I dont know what we would do without him. 8 goals so far this season! #Eduardo
