Arsenal are set to conclude a deal for Villarreal defender Gabriel Paulista. The La Liga club have confirmed on their official Twitter account that the 24 year-old is set to move to England, with the loan of forward Joel Campbell and a fee believed to be around €14.2 million enough to convince them into a sale. “Transfer agreed in principle with Arsenal for Gabriel, who will bid farewell before the game. Much luck!” the club posted, as reported by the Guardian. “Welcome joel-campbell12! Agreement reached with Arsenal until the end of the season.” Gabriel was signed by Villarreal for a reported fee of €3.3 million in August 2013 from Vitória. Since then, he has made 50 appearances for the club. For the centre-back to complete his move to Arsenal, he will need to be granted a work permit, as he hasnt played enough games for Brazil to automatically qualify for one.
