Arsenal winger Theo Walcott has emerged as a January transfer target for big-spending French outfit Monaco. Monaco eye Arsenal flyer Walcott signed a new deal at the Emirates to pledge his future to the Premier League side until 2016, but the Ligue 1 title-chasers are keen on acquiring his services. The England international has spent some time on the sidelines this season after suffering an abdominal injury during his sides 2-1 Champions League victory over Marseille in September. Gunners boss Arsene Wenger is understood to be keen on keeping one of his prized attacking threats, especially with the north London club in the hunt for their first piece of silverware since 2005. However, Monaco boss Claudio Ranieri is eager to try and swoop for the pacey wideman and could be prepared to offer a fee of £34million to lure him away.
