Art. 1, sect.8, clause 16 To exercise exclusive Legislation in all Cases whatsoever, over such District (not exceeding ten Miles square) as may, by Cession of particular States, and the Acceptance of Congress, become the Seat of the Government of the United States, and to exercise like Authority over all Places purchased by the Consent of the Legislature of the State in which the Same shall be, for the Erection of Forts, Magazines, Arsenals, dock-Yards, and other needful Buildings As much as I would like to I can’t blame BHO for everything thing that is going on now, his closing of National Parks, War Memorials, the Oceans, etc. I think with a little research into the above clause above we would find that a lot of those properties are the responsibility of Congress, but as with many other things they fail to do their Constitutionally mandated duties. Instead they just set back and let BHO run wild. If Congress, the peoples House, did the job they were hired to do, provide checks on Presidential power we wouldn’t be in half the mess we are in. Art. 1, sect.8, clause 4 To coin Money, regulate the Value thereof, and of foreign Coin, and fix the Standard of Weights and Measures. Where is all the stimulus money coming from? Is Congress authorizing the printing of money. Now we find out that the senate is AGAIN planning to introduce a bill that would allow the President to raise the debt limit on his own providing 2/3 of the congress approves. I’m thinking, why do we need Congress anyway, Nancy Pelosi was wrong, we could furlough our Congress ineffective Congress and save Billions
