Art is a process, a journey and no painting is ever the destination. There is no perfection as it is all subjective and it all comes down to how it makes you feel. It either hits you or it doesnt. The only thing the artist can perfect, is his or her process and the way that the art is created. A consistent, cohesive body of work is what Im aiming for and I am constantly practicing it. Skill doesnt matter, nobody cares about that. Take Romero Britto for example, can he draw a detailed portrait? Maybe not, but he has mastered and perfected the art that he does create. That mastery, thats what makes a professional artist, not necessarily the skill or years of schooling. Passion comes from the inside, if we make things with passion, people feel it. Its that simple. Im going to dedicate this year to growth and expansion but most importantly, making the art mine. Thanks for accompanying me in this journey. Welcome to 2015, this is my contribution.
