Arti Gujjar, 28, is a radio jockey and editor at Tilonia Community Radio station. I grew up in Kishangarh, a small town in Rajsthan. I have only studied till class seven. Two years after I left my studies, I got married here in Tilonia.I found out about Barefoot College here and wanted to work with the community radio. I was fascinated by the idea that one voice can reach up to fifty thousand people at the same time. Initially working here was very difficult. I had never used a computer before, and everything was in English. Eventually I figured my way out in softwares like Audacity, Sound Forge, Adobe Edition on Linux platform, by referring ABCD books. I do shows on information on government schemes, but I personally like doing women empowerment and entertainment shows. Even though I am a radio jockey, I love doing the editing work.
