August [2014] saw the Dolphin Massacre banned in Brazil however there are problems. Loop holes in the law allow poachers to kill the Pink Amazon River Dolphin in non-Brazilian territory transporting dead carcasses upstream to awaiting fishermen. More concerning is the hunting in Peru, Ecuador and other Amazon owned territory outside of Brazil.
