Artifact Hunter Breakdown Artifact hunters explore Lore selectively looking for rare and powerful artifacts to aid them in their battles and adventures. Mana regen: Artifact Hunters gain mana from all hits landed in combat, and especially on crits. The amount depends on damage relative to *their own* HP total. For Stats and Enhancements: Artifact hunters use both strength and intellect to fight their battles. Hybrid enhancements are a good start, but basically all stats help the class in some way. Auto Attack 2 second cooldown. A basic attack, taught to all adventurers. You’ve seen this before on many classes. It needs no further explanation. Rank 1: Strike of Awe 15 mana, 3 second cooldown. You strike using power amassed from the Blade of Awe. You have a 25% chance to leave your opponent awestruck which stuns them for 2 seconds. This move is your goto damage move. It’s physically based, and also has 25% chance of stunning your enemy for seconds. The stun may not be reliable, but when it happens it can be helpful. If you are lucky, it may even occur multiple times in a row which could be a lot of fun. Rank 2: Supreme Arcane Spell 20 mana, 8 second cooldown. Using the power of the supreme Arcane staff you deal damage and apply a magical burn to your Opponent. This move is increased by your spell power and intellect. It’s attack is ok, but it’s the DoT that makes the difference. The DoT also gains in power based on your INT. Rank 3: Shiny Mirror Shield 30 mana, 15 Second cooldown. Using the power of the shiny mirror you deflect a portion of your opponents attack back at them for 6 seconds and take decreased incoming damage. You may recognise this sort of move from Pyromancer Class. This version has a shorter cooldown and longer duration, but provides less of an incoming damage reduction and no heal. It’s useful when being overwhelmed by lots of damage as it decreases the amount you take AND reflects some straight back at your opponent. Rank 4: Cursed Ring of Dragon Control & Resourceful STR and INT increased by 20% Dodge Crit and Hit Chance all increased by 5% The first passive gives you the physical strength and magical might of dragons and makes a difference to the class over all. Your second one shows your mastery of Artifact hunting and represents all the small tricks you’ve picked up over the years. It will make a small difference to several of your stats. Rank 5: Destiny Or Doom 30 mana, 10 second cooldown. You’ve come across many blessed and cursed items over the years and have learnt how to channel their energies to work in your favour. You either trigger DOOM which increases your Damage output, Strength and Crit damage or Destiny, which give your a large HoT and increases your Intellect and Haste. This move is what spices up the class. When using this move you will either get Destiny OR Doom and Each effect has a 50% chance of occurring. Doom is basically damage focused, while Destiny is a heal. You are leaving your heal to chance here, but this is a VERY powerful HoT. Ideally because of your stun from the first move, and your shield you won’t be taking that much damage, so even if you don’t get the heal on your first try you should be able to survive until it does happen. The Intellect and strength boost may change how you want to use your first two moves slightly. Final Thoughts This is a nice little solo class to use. Not dedicated to being a tank or to Damage, but somewhere in the middle. It gives you some nice options based on enhancements as well, and has an interesting final move that dramatically affects how you use the class. * Those of you with keen eyes may have seen it spelled “Artefact hunter” on my character page. Depending on whether you use American English or British English the way you spell the word changes. Where I live we use the British spelling. I have since changed it to the American spelling. ~Soki [Lead Page Reporter]
