Artist Opportunity: Clockwise Theatre’s design team of the upcoming world première production of A Fine Line is partnering with Lake County visual artists to provide installation art for the set. Waukegan artist and arts advocate Dave Motley has been working closely with director Andrea J. Dymond and scenic design Kat Warner to realize this collaboration. It is anticipated that this union of visual and performing arts will both provide exciting and innovative set pieces for the production and also provide exposure for Lake County artists to Clockwise’s audience. If the artist wishes to make their work available for purchase, audiences may arrange with the artist to buy a desired piece after the show closes on May 4th. If you wish to submit a piece for consideration: Please send an e-mail with a photo attachment the work you wish to be considered to [email protected] with “Fine Line Art” in the subject line. We will also need your name, address, e-mail and phone number, the title and dimensions of the piece, the cost if you wish to make it available for purchase, and a brief bio. You will receive a confirmation e-mail of receipt. Submissions will be reviewed and selected artists will then be contacted individually. Themes explored in A Fine Line include gender, male/female/androgyny, and duality. Works which include mannequins or the human form will receive special consideration. Selected artists will receive a program credit and one complimentary ticket to the production. The deadline for submissions is March 21st The artist must reside in Lake County. The artist will need to transport the work to the theatre, install it if needed, and pick it up after the run ends and a designated date and time Please note: Clockwise will take no commission on any sale. Everyone at Clockwise is VERY excited about this collaboration between the visual and performance arts! Thank you!
