Arts Award Arts Award’s mission is to support children and young people aged 5 – 25 years old to enjoy the arts, develop creative and leadership skills and achieve a national qualification. Tameside arts had an impressive eleven people win an arts award this year namely Michaela Bridge, Melissa Hallsworth, Sinead Hardy, Mitchell Jenks, Lauren Leach, Lee Linskey, Joshua Noble, Tia Oliver, Emma Taylor, Carly Thompson and Dom Want. Street Art project The street art project is a new version of ‘the graffiti project’ from previous years. There was a great turnout this year as usual with children and teenagers of all ages attending and thoroughly enjoying themselves partially due to the professionalism and expertise of the two street artists that helped out, Chris and Lee. Some fantastic pieces of artwork were created by the attendees who made them using spray-paints, pencil crayons, paint pens and felt-tips.
